23. Sargam's Inexplicable Attraction
Arnav pressed the door bell...
None opened the door... he pressed it again...
No response..
He called on the land line ... after the 7th ring HP took the call
"kitni der sey Darwaazey pey hun! Koi kholtha kyun nahi!" He yelled at HP
( I am at the door since ages! WHY wont anyone open the door!)
"Ji bhaiyya! Yahan Thayyari kar rahein hain!" he kept the phone down!
( Yes Sir! They are making preparations!)
What? for opening a bloody door! Arnav was surprised at Hp's words!
The door opened a little and Anjali's voice came!
"Chotey To gain entry tell me how many potted plants do we have here?"
"What rubbish Di he barked!"
Anji:"Answer"
A:"Why?"
She cleared her throat "Ahem... We found out recently that you need mental stimulation !!!"
There it started... Arnav caught his head!
A:"Di please open the door!"
Anji:"Nope"
A:"Ok I will go back to office!"
Anji:"Arey nai nai" ( oh don't do that)
Anjali came out and hugged him!
"CHo..." Anjali could not finish.
A:"DI Please give me time till tomorrow I shall explain today I am going out in a while!!! need to get ready and you now know how tiring it is with Khushi PLLLEEEASASSe" Arnav pleaded with her.
"Arey wah chotey you are able to say please so easily now!!! Anjali winked and said Ok! Shall I send Horlics for you? ...and added you need B vitamin more I guess"... and got a killer stare from her brother who was going up stairs!!!!

Prateek got up from his bed and opened the door...
Immediately he straightened," kaun hai aap?"

Khushi removed the scarf and said" Khuhsi! reh #$%@!!!"...And barged in.
"Woah! identi?" ( whats this) he asked
Khushi was in a burkha! Black !!!!complete with the head scarf!
K:"Enti antey? ( What?)I am going out!"
P:"For that you converted to Islam?"
K:"Nahi yaar! Dimaag office mein chod aaye kya?" ( No!! DID ypu leave your brain at office?)
P:"C'mmon you walk into my room wearing a burkha and ask me that?" Prateek was angry!
K:"I am going out dancing with Arnav!"
P:"WHHHAAAT?????"
K:"Haan!" ( yes)
There was a din down stairs...
"Yaheeinch aayi uney!" One male voice said.
( she came in here only)
"Arey aap lopala nahi jaa sakthey..." Prateek's mom was talking in half hindi half Telugu.
( you can't come in)
Prateek ran down satairs followed by Khushi...
"Mom what happened?" Prateek yelled and saw two well buit men in Pathan Shalwars!
"Salma yaheeinch aayi ji!"
( Salma came in here only)One of the men said !!!
"My phod dalthum usey!"The other said looking ar Prateek!
( I will break his neck).
Then they looked beyond him and said," Yaakhood Bhai qasam hai... my isku zinda gaad dey thum!
( Yakhud bhai I swear I will burry him alive!)
"Ei chup!" ( Shut up)
Prateek's mom yelled at him!
"Kya chup? Potti ku bhagaa ke laaya tumhara bhai" the man called Yakhud yelled back at her!

Prateek's mom suddenly became soft and said," Chai lengey bhai saab?"
( Will you have tea?)

"Twist nai... he said I am her brother while I am actually her son... so she is impressed" Prateek said sneering at his mom!
"AAAYyyeee!!! "The other fellow pounced on Prateek and took out a knife!
"Nahiii!!!!" Khushi jumped in between him and Prateek... Her scarf was back on her face now as she tied it after prateek teased her for fun...upstairs.
"Salma... besharam my issey dekh kya karthum?" Navid pressed the button on his knife to release the blade...
( Salma... You shameless hussy! See what i shall do to him)
There was a shrill whistle that pierced the ears of the people there!
Arey cooker bandh karo ji koi!... Yakhud shriked.
( Please swich off the cooker!)
"Cooker nai ladki..."( Its not cooker Its the girl) Prateek's mom said...as they all saw...
Khushi closed both her ears with index fingers of both her hands and was screaming!
"ARREY CHUP!!!! ( Shut up)...Navid shouted...
She stopped and opened her eyes and looked here and there and said "ALL IS WELL ALL IS WELL!!!" stroking her chest!
Navid got irritated...
He pressed the button on his knife...
Nothing happened!
Again he tried...
Nothing moved...
Khushi looked at the knife...
"Kahaan sey liya bhaisaab..." she asked!
"Begum Bazar!" he answered still tryimg...
"Dikraa hai woh kahaan sey liye ... khul raa bhi nai! Dabeerpurey sey lenaa tha na? yeh iflaas ka chaaqu khaan se le aaye ki!" Khushi said.
( Its evident wjere you bought it from! You should have got it from Dabeer Pura! Wherever you got this useless goods from!)
"Nannu champadaaniki waadiki tips isthunnaventey?" Prateek said in feeble voice.

"Dabeerpurey sey liye tho Police pakdri ji! aur tum hato mujhey ussey kam hai!" Navid said still struggling!
( Police is keeping a watch on purchases at Dabeer Pura! You move I have work to finish with him).

"Fir thu Salma ko bhaagaa..." Khushi made a 'o' Without finishing her words and narrowed her eyes at Prateek!

What? Both Salma and Prateek said disgustedly!
Everyone understood at once! Khushi and Salma were friends...
Salma went into Khushi's house
Khushi went into Prateek's
Yakhud and Navid thought Salma went into Prateeks but it was Khushi!
Khushi and Prateek's mon thought Prateek brought a muslim girl home ... to get married...
But actually it was all very inexplicably explicit!
Prateek's mom stared at all the youngsters and said "aa devude rakshinchali!"( Only god can save these) and left!

"Jag ne ki raat!"( A night of vigil)Khushi said.

"Antey?"MEANING? prateek asked.
"Jagaran" Khushi supplied... "they too have a jag neki rath like us haina Salma?"( They too have a night of vigil like us) she said...

"I am going with her... "Khushi winked at Prateek...
"But you are...OKOK OK! You are going with Salma but not going! Am I right?" Prateek said.
"Yes Watson! I am going with Arnav ji for Naachne ki rath! " Khushi said winking at him.
"Be careful!" Prateek gave her a squeeze!
"No issues you are there no?" she said confidently!
"Thats the whole problem" he said and got punched in return...
She said bye and went with Salma Yakhud & co.
